Indian Rice
Ingredients:
• 2 oz. Loprofin rice
• 1 tsp. Olive oil
• 1 clove garlic, peeled
• 1 small red onion-peeled and finely chopped
• 1 tsp. Garam masala (Indian spice)
Directions:
- Rinse the rice under cold water in a sieve, place in boiling water and cook for 9 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small frying pan, heat the oil then add the diced onion and garlic and sauté for 3 minutes. Add the garam masala and sauté for another 2 minutes.
- Rinse the rice with boiling water.
- Mix the onion and spices into the cooked rice.
Chef’s Tip:
Add some cloves and cardamom seeds to the rice while boiling to prepare a more
authentic dish. Remove before serving.
